Welcome To Street Sheet

It's the word on the street

Where's the January Street Sheet?

You’re not going to see the contents of the January Street Sheet on-line, this month, because January is our annual all-poetry issue: While we run all of our news stories on-line, we publish poetry and creative writing exclusively in the print version of the paper in order to leave vendors a selling point. If you’ve got a buck to spare each month, and you’re reading this news on-line, you ought to be supporting a local vendor anyhow! For those of you outside of San Francisco, a donation to the Coalition on Homelessness will get you a year’s worth of Street Sheet mailings.

Between now and February, we’ll still be putting prose news that does not appear in our print publication on-line, so keep your eye on this blog! Take care, and Happy New Year!

The STREET SHEET is the oldest continuously published street news paper in the United States. Organizationally, it is the public education and outreach tool of the Coalition on Homelessness. Every month, the STREET SHEET reaches 32,000 readers through over 200 homeless or low-income vendors. Our vendors are charged nothing for the papers they receive, and keep all money they earn through STREET SHEET distribution.
